James A. Maye is a dedicated leader in the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Ordained as a bishop in 1996 and now serves as presiding prelate of COOLJC since 2022. Apostle James Maye is the pastor emeritus of Pilgrim Church of Christ in Cleveland, Ohio, and serves as the appointed apostle of Region VI. With a lifelong commitment to Jesus, Maye has a diverse background that includes pastoral roles and extensive community engagement.

He co-founded Calvary Center Academy, initiated leadership conferences, and played a key role in a tutoring program. Apostle Maye has been instrumental in launching innovative programs in Cleveland focused on leadership training, fostering ministerial associations, and building neighborhood partnerships to meet the needs of his congregation and community. He is also the CEO of the Cleveland Apostolic Ministerial Fellowship and co-founder of Clergy Organized for Drug Extinction.
