Mother Florence L. Maye is the wife of the Presider of the Churches of Our Lord Jesus Christ (COOLJC), Apostle James A. Maye. Mother Maye is revered for her leadership, integrity, compassion, and servanthood as a woman of vision. Her goal is to remain in the will of God and allow Him to lead and use her as He sees fit. In 1977 her husband (Apostle Maye) was appointed pastor of the Pilgrim Church of Christ in Cleveland, Ohio. Their family moved from Connecticut to fulfill this assignment from God. As First Lady, she supported her husband and the congregation as a Sunday School Teacher, ABYPU Youth Leader, Vacation Bible Director, President of the Local Church Women’s Council and Missionary Department, and the State president of the Ministers and Deacons Wives Guild. Mother Maye presently serves as the First Lady of the Churches of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
